Frequently Asked Questions

About our clothing

Where are your clothes made?

Our dress shirts are manufactured in New Jersey and our Signature level suiting (hand-made suits) are made in New York. Our Platinum level custom suits are made by an excellent manufacturer in China, and quality inspected in the USA. We have a close working relationship with all of our vendors and it’s important to us that we continue to visit the factories we partner with and hone our craft.

Where do your fabrics come from?

The cotton in our dress shirts are sourced from Europe and Japan. We even source the world renowned Sea Island Cotton, grown in very small batches in the Caribbean.

Our wool cloth for suiting comes from Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. You may recognize some of the cloth houses we buy from: Holland & Sherry, Gladson, and Scabal. In addition, we continue to make an effort to source some lesser known brands that are incredibly luxurious and high-performing, like Rosenthal and Drago cloth. In summary, our suiting cloth has been thoughtfully curated so that we can offer our clients a wide selection of unique weaves, colors, and textures. The end result is a business suit or wedding suit that’s sure to set you apart from the crowd.

Do I have to dry clean Bespoke Edge shirts?

Most of our shirt fabrics can easily be washed at home. Just be sure to use cold water and then air dry (no tumble dry!). This is the best way to ensure longevity for your new shirt. You can find more info here.

That being said, you can certainly take your shirts to a dry cleaner. Just ask for a “wash and press” versus a standard dry cleaning treatment.

How often should I dry clean my BE suit?

Rarely. We recommend you dry clean your suit only a couple times a year. Dry cleaning is a relatively rough process for any garment. And when you do need to dry clean a suit, you should make sure you find someone that you really trust. And if what your suit really needs is just a little freshening up, then we recommend investing in a simple steamer. If you’ve never steamed clothes before, you’ll be amazed at how easily you can get wrinkles to straighten out and get your garment looking like new again. Read more in this blog post on suit care.

About the Bespoke Edge process

Does Bespoke Edge service clients outside of Colorado?

No, we only service clients that can meet with us in our Denver showroom.

How long does the process take?

From initial appointment to delivery, shirts take approximately 6 weeks. A suit delivery is typically 6 – 8 weeks after your initial appointment. We do have rush options available for an added fee that take 4-6 weeks. However, the best way to ensure a speedy delivery is to schedule your 2nd fitting with us as soon as possible. Final tailoring after your 2nd fitting generally takes 1 week, and then you’re all done!

Attention grooms: Ideally, we like to have 2.5 or 3 months to get your wedding suit or tuxedo ready. With such an important order, we like to have extra time available. However, we realize that isn’t always possible which is why we offer rush services which take 30 days.

Rush Fees & Schedule
1.5 month – $195 rush fee
30 days – $345 rush fee

If I want to buy a suit can I see an example?

Of course. Not only will Ron and Ryan be wearing a BE suit or jacket, but we always have a handful of garments on display in our showroom.

About appointments

How long are appointments?

Our typical suit appointment lasts about 2 hours. Appointments can be longer or shorter, it just depends on how quickly you find the right fabric. Before your appointment, if you have a general idea on the color or style that you want, that can really facilitate our process.

Shirt appointments are closer to 60 – 90 minutes.

Furthermore, should you decide to buy a second suit at a later time, or another dress shirt, appointments are very fast. It’s not uncommon for a repeat client to select a new suit cloth and be out the door in under 45 minutes. And repeat orders can typically be “finished” on delivery, meaning that there is no need for a 2nd fitting because we will know exactly how your clothing should fit.

How much will this cost?

Under the Shop menu above, you’ll find the starting prices for each of our products. As the price increases, the softness of the fabric tends to improve and the complexity and detail in the weave is enhanced. If you’re looking for your first custom suit and want to stay in one of our opening range swatch books, you’re going to have a great suit. And if you’re in the market for a luxurious suit in a hand-made build, we have you covered too.

I’ve made an appointment, what do I need to do to prepare?

Depending on what you’re shopping for, it’s helpful to have your best fitting suit/shirt/pant available for us to examine. In addition to measuring you for your clothes, we will sometimes pull measurements from your existing clothes, of which we will then carefully adjust.

About our services

Can I have you tailor an old suit that I own?

Because we don’t operate as a tailor shop, we don’t have the capability to alter your existing clothing. However, if you’re in the Denver area, we highly recommend a visit to Erol’s Tailoring. And in Northern Colorado, Saniyes Tailoring is the place to go.

Do you have a physical shop?

Yes! Our Denver office/showroom is located just north of downtown Denver at 2806 Speer Blvd. Please note that we do operate by appointment, so please schedule your visit in advance such that we can give you our full attention.

Do you sell other things? Like shoes and ties?

Presently, we don’t offer accessories like shoes or neck ties due to our limited space. However, we would be happy to make some recommendations on where to go based on the style you have in mind.

Miscellaneous

I don’t consider myself a very stylish guy, is custom suiting for me?

At BE we offer suits, shirts, and pants, but what we really provide our clients is guidance. We consider ourselves to be Colorado’s leading source of menswear information and advice. Over the years, we have worked with all kinds of folks, from those who know exactly what they are looking for, to those who might need a refresher on what a notched lapel is. Having a good sense of style isn’t something any of us were inherently born with, it’s something learn. And it all begins by making an appointment.
