What is Colorado Style?
This past summer, I have been hard at work on a project. I’ve kept it under wraps until now.
Simply put, I wanted to investigate the question: What is Colorado style when it comes to men’s clothing?
Looking around Denver, Boulder and the Fort Collins area, you see all sorts of different styles. But regarding menswear specifically, I thought that there must be some trends, right? What are they? What constitutes the Colorado style?
If you were to flip through some of the more popular magazines in town, you might think that guys are all wearing flannel or buffalo check dress shirts with their jeans. But this can’t be true, can it?
So, here’s what I did: I reached out to a handful of influential creatives in the Colorado Front Range area – people that were doing something unique and innovative in their field – and I asked them to build a dress shirt based on their personal style. The idea being, that their creativity in their business, be it in restaurants, brewing, or otherwise, would bubble up to the surface and express itself via the medium of a cotton dress shirt.
Thereby giving me a view of the Colorado style spectrum, as told by some of the most creative people in the area.
The results were very interesting.
Over the coming weeks, I’m going to tell you all about it. You’ll meet some interesting people doing interesting things in the Denver and Fort Collins area, and you’ll see some great dress shirts.
Consider this the official teaser!
More to come…
